I admit, I never expected Sam to stray! I mean he seems like the kinda guy who'd be faithful no matter what. You've made it totally convincing though, as well as extremely hot. I feel very sorry for Gene though, who really is getting the short end of the stick, even if Sam does feel that they belong together.

Oooh... I always have trouble getting my head around Sam/Ray, but the situation that you've thrown them into here is totally believable. As bistokids said, Sam really is a selfish bastard in so many ways, and you've got his rationalization, and that fact that he's so easy to empathize with, and sympathize with, even when he's being a selfish bastard, down perfectly - the interactions between the characters, and Sam's reaction to knowing that Gene will never be totally his, were absolutely spot on and wonderful.

The sex was also very hot and kinky and well done :)
