The progression of this is so lovely. I loved the punchlines in the first two so much (the first one's got to be my favourite - so inspired, Gene!), thE WHISKY KISS IN THE THIRD OH MY GAWD. Hot. And that it was their first kiss as well just makes it platinum perfect ok fhdsjkghkj. The fourth one is pure sweetness gosh - Gene just going back and forth without a word of protest, cute and perfect. ♥

Thank you for appreciating my punchlines, and also the whisky kiss! When I wrote in my notes there should be a whisky kiss I immediately got quite excited and that whole scene in Gene's office grew around it, even though it wasn't directly related to breakfast things.

Gene being totally whipped and doing anything for Sam is a guilty pleasure of mine. ESPECIALLY when he's been a super bastard earlier on.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the last sentence omg I loved it when I first read it this morning but each time I reread it it is THAT MUCH MORE PERFECT okay???? This entire fic was beautiful. From Gene being a super bastard to Sam's realisation that this is all intentional on Gene's part, just him winding Sam up, and when Sam tells him to try harder he DOES because the fourth part is SO GOOD. Gene just doing as he's been told and not fussing about it at all and then that leads us back to the last line again and it's so great. ♥♥♥

The whisky kiss/first kiss is beyond perfection and super HOT.
