Fic: Regard 12 and 13, MasterPages, Green, Sam/Annie

Notes: ART in chapter 13. Took me waaaaay too long to make. Lined and colored in Manga Studio 4, shaded in Gimp 2 (lost a little pixel quality in the move, so full-size isn't as detailed as it might be). Gene didn't turn out

All the character stuff seems just right - the way Sam feels about Annie, the way she acts toward him. I was amused by his dilemma re: which door was hers and which her parents. Cute!

The Sam/Gene banter/bickering is all very canon.

Since you posted to ask when Sam's birthday was, it might have also been appropriate to ask how much Sam's drink capacity might be (i.e. just how much could he drink in an evening). At this point Sam's been in 1973 with the hard-boozing men of CID for what, a year? More? He's had plenty of time to build up a tolerance. For the record, I, a slim woman, could drink a couple of pints and still drive myself home at the end of the evening. Sam and Gene most certainly could put away a party seven between them and then some, and still get home without becoming comatose.

Well, this makes some sense, but I'm not sure exactly how much a body builds up tolerance--from my limited knowledge it seems like some never manage to adjust much, while others build it up incredibly; it seems to vary from one person to another, but of course I could be wrong. I have Sam and Gene each consuming roughly 3 pints each, maybe a bit more, because Nelson probably really had only about half a pint, and that left Gene merely buzzed and Sam tipsy enough to be a bit silly and unsteady, but not exactly puking his guts out. They do both get home without becoming comatose. However, if this still seems like a bit much, I shall defer to your judgment and cruelly force something stronger on the boys before the open the Party Seven. xD Do let me know what you think. *giggles and ignores Sam's protests from the back of her mind*
