This was a perfect conclusion, as we know Sam would get his revenge and it's best dished out when Gene least expects it! I feel like Gene needs cuddles in the first panel, or maybe a back rub. But at least now he has a perfectly functional ice pack for any aches and pains he may be suffering! XDDDDDD

As for why the snow!lady didn't melt... maybe Gene is never home so Sam knows he never has the heating turned on? Or else that was part of the prank too and Gene just hasn't figured that bit out yet. Gene would be like "Why is it so bloody cold in here?" even after removing the snow person from his bed. Heh heh!
