This is AMAZING. You two, your writing! Just..... *rolls around in it* You guysssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!

This is absolutely wonderful! I'm all warm and fuzzy now, and it's just... the PERFECT way it could work out! GAHAHHHHHAaAAAAAAA *flailsssss* Just.... Gene's confrontation with Carl! You could FEEL how scared and angry and mixed up Gene was... And when Carl started mouthing off, I almost wanted Gene to pull the trigger and get some peace. And then the butter knife! GAHHH! And Sammmmmmm! The way you described him realising where Gene'd gone! I went all cold right along with Sam!

And the punch-up they both had! They both needed it, but! GAHH <3333 And then at the bench! Gene going over what happened - he so needed to do that, and Sam so needed to hear it. It was beautiful... And the PERFECT way they could both start coming to terms with it all and begin to move on.... *MELTSSSSSSSSS* ... I just hope they can make sure Carl stays locked

Ugh, after all the time writing and revising and coordinating I can't even see the fic clearly anymore, but when I went back and reread earlier chapters I felt great about what we've got, and knowing that others are enjoying the ride... woww, it's the BEST.

Yes, the punch-up was SO necessary. But then so was the talking!

Once again I found this at college and squealed in the middle of the library, but I DON'T CARE BECAUSE THIS WAS AMAZING. The emotions were so palpable, so wonderful throughout, and Sam's relationship with Gene was so real and it genuinely felt like I could've been standing there with Sam watching the confrontation.

The butter knife. I think my heart stopped. Oh gosh. And the lovely end line of Gene slumping to his knees- perfect.

And the endiiing! I love the little hint of uncertainty there, just wonderful. Wonderful. Gahh.

I feel like I get flashes of inspiration in my writing parts, and then deb comes along with some perfectly crafted and honed scene and then we make it all work together... very rewarding. And then to have other people read it and love it!

THANK YOU so much! YES, this whole fic is such an exercise in what Gene and Sam have in common, and then also all the ways in which they are different, in which Gene is such a "man", and Sam is so much more in touch with his feelings but that doesn't always help...

I also love some scrapping; such a turn-on! Ha ha. In a weird sort of way!

This is fantastic. They are COMMUNICATING! Miracle of miracles. I love Sam trying to talk Gene down from shooting, it's one of my favourite aspects of the show, Gene asking for Sam's permission to hit suspects etc.

I'm so sorry, I wish I could say more but I'm very overwhelmed with feelings. Really excellent writing, this fandom is so lucky to have such talented people. Please feel appreciated and proud of this story, because you very much should be!
