Ooh, like that. It's very, very hot up here, but there's an onshore breeze. One of the things I don't remember fondly about the Thames Valley was the way that heat hung in the air, especially in London. thanks for posting...I may just have to go and find some icecream.

Thanks hon! Ice cream is always the way to go - I've been experimenting with lots of nice recipes of late. Current favourite is Tutti Frutti. Bet it's a whole lot cooler and fresher up in your part of the world!

Thanks! I still remember that long hot summer very well and the terrific storms when it finally broke. I'm sure the boys would have been out playing in the rain to cool down. Before they got hot together later on...

Aww, I really do like seeing this boyish, playful, completely non-sexual (really!) side of Sam and Gene, especially the image of them soaking wet and raiding the fridge :)

Non-sexual Sam and Gene - not my usual style at all! But I'm chuffed that you enjoyed it and it was jolly fun to write as well. Mind you, soaking wet boys being daft together, that's pretty hot really isn't it?

Yay for ice cream! I love the way Gene rumbles and grumbles (in my head, permanently...) so when I gave them a storm to muck around in the thunder and lightning idea really just wrote itself. Glad you enjoyed it!
