A Word in Your Shell-Like by hambelandjemima Rating/Notes/Warnings: Green Cortina, Sam/Maya Why I recommend this fic: Leaving aside my adoration of all things Sam/Gene, I have a real soft spot for Sam/Maya fic that gives due consideration to that bit of canon, and this addresses Maya's difficult position of having to let Sam go in a really succinct but beautiful way.
I would like to add this to my list of recs for het as well. Again, Sam/Maya, it has such potential and this one in particular deals with little bits from the show that could really ring true as canon, to me anyway.
Mahamaya-tantra by severinne Rating/Notes/Warnings: Smut-ridden Sam/Maya, with a fair few doses of kinkiness. Could be taken as pre-slash if you close your eyes and click your heels three times. Why I recommend this fic: It is no secret that I am a fan of most of sev's stuff, but along with the two that I recced for slash and the one I will rec for one of a kind, this is with the favorites. As far as het goes in this fandom, I don't care too much for Sam/Annie. Sam/Maya though, when done right, has such possibilities, that glimpse into Sam's previous life gets me all fired up, as does this scorcher of a fic.
