They've just done a couple of radio series of DoDG, with David Calder as Dixon and (in the first season) David Tennant as Andy.

I'll have Gene as commissioner on the strict condition that Sam's his right-hand man.

Wow, a promotion at last! I had know idea this was in the pipeline; those rascals know how to keep things close to their chest at the Met, and it's not as if I've even GOT that much policing experience (apart from the cowboy boot thing in Gunnerside), so I'm even more impressed.
