The very sad thing is I started a story (which I know is awful) and I haven't finished it and I haven't let anyone else look. And I have sodding posted it. But not here. Because I am ashamed of it.

What a very sorry state to be in.

Not sad and not sorry! I love that you're thinking in terms of a story. Sometimes we get ideas and flashes and need a bit of motivation to get them committed to paper (or screen, whatever). Sometimes we need a nod or a confirmation or some sort of validation that there's going to be an audience for our efforts. At least, that's how I see it.

I think the important thing is to keep thinking, keep writing and do what it takes to get the story where you want it.
