now, i read uglies. i liked it. quite a lot. i've only ever read the first one, since i haven't been able to get my hands on any of the other volumes and i was seriously considering buying them off amazon. (since they're impossible to find here) but now, i dont think i will.
i can't respect and author who doesn't respect his fans. and encouraging them to participate in fanlib's contest? is not respecting them. it's not good for them. if he wants them to write fic, say so, but not because a creepy site like fanlib payed you to.
what quality of fics you think they'll get with their audience consisting primarily of 13yrs old?
