Jan 04, 2008 16:18

Hey you :3 Life is simultaneously frustrating and enjoyable. I've got more work than I can shake a stick at, and yet I'm still plagued by mental blocks. I think it just proves that threat of punishment (ie POVERTY) is not the mother of invention or inspiration. But I'd rather be doing this than working at McDonald's, even if that pays more by the hour XD

And hey, I have an OLLLLLD commission that I was supposed to finish for you ages and ages ago, don't I? I seem to be epic fail at getting things done in any sort of timely manner D: If you still want me to work on it, just say the word, or if you have a new request that's fine as well :3 And no worries about payment. It's been so long since you requested I think it's a fair trade. Besides, every piece of art I do is just more practice for me, so I still benefit! 6(^w^)9

How are things on your side of the screen? :3

I'm glad things are working out at your end (with your art work!) so major congrats on that. While you say you aren't motivated, at least look at it this way--you certainly aren't working at McDonald's :DDD which means you are working on art. If poverty was the mother of invention/inspiration, I daresay there would be a lot more inventors etc. :P

You do, don't you! LOL. I actually bought the books, tho they are at home in the US. If we can ever meet up I can give them to you if you are still interested, otherwise they will just sit on my bookshelf. You can just do the same request, if you remember it, in any style you like that would be good for your practice. I can't say no to free art >D

I'm doing well. I may be looking at a promotion in the future...or school. I'm not sure what I want to do yet so I have to decide that first (and decide soon! March is the end of my contract!). So I definitely can say there will be some changes coming my way soon.

(Bah, I fail at typing code =_=; )

LOL, well I can't say no to books, although I don't even remember what I asked for back then! I am sure we will get a chance to meet up at some point and get it all cleared out. I'm afraid I'm a bit fuzzy on the details of the request, because I fail like that, but I will see if I can't throw something together for you :D

And oooh, big changes! Are you in Japan through a particular program like JET? You may have told me before, but my memory is very crap. If you decide to go back to school, what will you be studying?
