"Like hell you are..." Damon looks her over, not in a lecherous way, but as a family friend. "What are you...I can't believe I...no. Just no. Get your coat. I'll take you home. We won't speak of it to anyone."

"I am cool and different, and looking back on the situation someday, you'll realize that. But I'm also a fucking lawyer and it's enough of a risk to my career to do this in semi-public. I start hanging around a kid like you and it's all over." He pulls on her arm as he walks trying to make her go a little faster.

"Fine!" Having a mother who is also a lawyer, Robin has always taken pride on finding loopholes in many arguments. Now was not one of those times.

... She needed time, at least.

"Can we go get something to eat then please? I don't want to go back home yet."

Damon lets go of her arm and rubs the back of his neck. He can already feel a tension headache coming on, but he nods.

"Yes, fine, great. I said I would. I'll take you to..." He pauses, looking at what she's wearing. Then at what he is. Rockafellas was not going to seat them with Damon dressed in vintage military regalia and Robin dressed like...that. "Anywhere with a drive through."

The way Damon sets his eyes on her Hot Topic tartan, goth and short, so very short dress, makes Robin wonder. Is he checking her out?

"Yeah, whatever sounds fine. I just don't want to go straight back home."

He is decidedly not checking her out. Not only is Robin jailbait, she's the underage daughter of a colleague and friend. It's wrong on too many levels.

"Burgers, then?" He proposes, leading the way out the back door. He takes his keys out of his pocket and aims the remote at his bmw, unlocking the door.

When they get closer, he opens the door for her.

It pumps her confidence, he seems to be totally checking her out. Maybe that is why Damon is so against letting her try her luck in the club?

"Yeah, sounds good." Her mood seems to perk up a little, at least, her ego mistakenly stroked.

Comfortable in his car, she waits for him to join her. "You always come here then?"
