Yeah, I think it will be difficult, which is why I'm letting myself eat whatever I still have in the house. At least then I'll ween myself off, lol. The fact that I can even say that is kind of why I feel like it's necessary. It can't be that healthy to feel so beholden to noodles. XD

I don't give up the litany of things that are counted as leavened bread (I mean, really, corn? green beans?) for Passover largely because taking away my carbs leaves me eating peanut butter off a spoon for a week and snorting lines of protein powder. I am thinking of trying to give up diet soda (again) as my crack-like addiction has returned to the sad, sad low point that is needing to buy a soda at the grocery store/Target before I go shopping because I can't make it another 45 minutes.

I don't really see the religious value of it (but then I'm not religious in a...well, religious sense) nor am I a fan of doing things just to see if one can largely because my personality lends itself to extremes and an intervention of some sort is generally needed. But man, Jewish guilt is a great motivator for detox. That and the fear that my grandmother will haunt the shit out of me. I imagine it's similar for Catholics.
