First of all, I would just like to say: I fucking HATE those
Amish friendship bread bags of bullshit people sometimes give you. It's not really a display of friendship to give someone something they have to spend the next ten days pouring random ingredients and time into. Just bake a loaf of bread and give it away, shit. I mean, I'm about to

Alos? I'm really glad I never sent you any of the cute baking mixes I thought you'd like. :(

I don't mind baking mixes necessarily. Because with a dry mix, at least, you can choose when you want to make it and it won't go bad in the meantime. This comes already started and forces you to invest into it for a week and a half without any notice. You use multiple cups of flour, sugar, milk, and oil, multiple eggs, and calls for other things (like vanilla pudding mix) that you wouldn't necessarily have on hand. And then afterwards, you have to find 3 people to give it to yourself. All in all, it's a pain in the ass IMO.

Have you found the end of GOS then?
LOL, I've never heard of people giving bread mixes that have already been started. o_O

I think I've found the end of GOS. There's like... 7 chapters left at this point. Which isn't to say bunnies won't multiply out of control and just start doing what they want. But in theory, 7 chapters are left. :D
The whole thing with the bread is that instead of using yeast in a jar, you combine milk, flour, and sugar and basically let it ferment. (I'm pretty sure that's how most sourdough is made.) As it ferments in the bag, you add more milk, flour, and sugar to feed the homemade yeast and grow the size of the dough. And every day, you knead it a little bit or add new ingredients, etc. When it reaches day 10, you have a giant blob of fermented dough, which you use part to bake and other parts to give away. It sucks, lol.
If it were just a dry mix, that'd be fine IMO. This thing needs to be babysat and worked on the second you get it, which is annoying, lol.

With GoS though, I feel like there's a lot about Rachel that's not ideal. So it might be interesting to see how all of those shortcomings and problems come into focus after coming into contact with Joy. At least, that was my thinking anyway. :D

At the moment, this is the one I'm most drawn to, as it combines a few longstanding ideas I've had. Miscarriage, IVF with House as a potential donor, adoption, etc. But I don't know if people would read it since it would be an AU starting long after the canon had past that point.
