I love how much you know about where you're from, I know next to nothing, I could probably tell you a few disjointed facts.

I honestly don't know much about the town I grew up in. It's such a small place with no real repository for its history, and the only time it's ever in the news is when, seriously, someone poisons our water... which happens all too frequently. o_O
But I am pretty familiar with the state history. I'm not an expert by any means - that's for sure. But the Civil War is obviously one of the most important events in American history, and a lot of that does take place in MD or in neighboring areas. And in school, our teachers would always start from the beginning with the colonies and aim to get us through till today, but we'd always get stuck on the Civil War, lol.

Also, I must confess, I always confuse Maryland and Maine geographically. Don't ask how. Clearly alphabetical order applies to states somehow.
