Question regarding Foster

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me I'm trying to figure out in what episode it was said that foster couldn't have children? I know she adopted a child but I can't recall when it was said she couldn't have kids herself... Does anyone know?

There's a hint of something in Truth or Consequences but no one has ever definitively stated that she could or couldn't.

I think it was implied that Foster and Alec couldn't have a biological child but it was never implied what or with whom the infertility problem was.

In the episode where Foster and Loker go to the polygamist's compound, the guy looks right at Foster and says something to the effect of "there's nothing physically keeping you from having a child, but rather an emotional block." She was immensely rattled, as you may recall. That's all I remember on the subject, other than the Sophie stuff.

I think because of how upset Gillian gets when the subject comes up that the infertility issue is hers.
