I did a bad thing today. My right knee/leg joint aches/muscles spasms, knottedness just recovered after a week of some brutal p.t. exercises and I can actually walk without whimpering so of course I decide I'm bored and well enough to wander over to the corner foodmart for cheerwine and a snickers bar pretzels and water ( Read more... )

*clings* Another person with fibro AND arthritis?? I swear I am not going to have any knuckles left in my hands soon. That's the worst for me, the arthritis in the hands, because I NEED MY HANDS to make a living (and to, um, write :) The fibro comes and goes, depending on how much exercise I'm getting (not enough or too much sends me into a flare) and how much sleep I'm getting (usually never enough, so there you go).

Between you, me and tome_raider we should have a Fibro's Army or something ;)

I feel your arthritic hand resentment because yeah I can bitch about the pain but I feel hopeless when I can't write, type, hold a book or even a phone without whimpers. Luckily haven't had any hand/finger/wrist agony for a few months now, its all been the knees arms, shoulders and elbows. I've only had osteo-arthritis for about 3 years but boy has my joint stability/ease of mobility gone down the drain and the fibro popping up two years ago with an all too cheerful "hi, i'm here to f*ck up your life" doesn't help.

Laughs at the Fibro Army -cause I spend way too much time every blasted day charting symptons for my grab bag of problems (just check out my user info interest for clues). Heh, I have drafted my baby brother to design a software program for me based on the million and one things I have to keep track of; medical charts, maps, symptons, journals, etc.
