I really like that quote! and it reminds me that I need to watch Dr Who, so I'm gonna do that once I'm done reviewing. I've read bits and pieces of this before and i really like it bestest all put together like this

This is such a perfectly sad fic. If I quoted all the parts that I thought worked really well... the comment would get unwieldy, to say the least. I can absolutely imagine James Potter needing desperately to try and convince himself that things will work out, simply because he's James Potter, and he cannot fail to try. I think what I love most, though, is Tonks' self-honesty and the unflinching way she deals with her whole situation, but especially the realization that the most important thing she'll ever have to do for her son is to leave him an orphan. The way you've brought out the parallels and contrasts between the families and couples is brilliant.
