Hello! This is my entry for the
Supernatural across the world community, and given that their deadline was on October 31st, I decided on a nice festivity from my country!
The story:
Sam and Dean thought they could go to the cemetery at night, sprinkle some bones with salt, set them on fire and be done before midnight.
Unfortunately, they choose November 1st to be that night, and in Mexico, a lot of families prepare a big basket with food, bread, fruits and candies and take them to the cemetery along with flowers and candles. the Mexican idea is that the dead come back as spirits int the last days of October and the first two of November. The families of the deceaced then recieve them like a honoured guest (hence the food) h
Other things that make digging up a corpse difficult that day are the "flowers of the dead" (Calendula officinalis) that are said to guide the spirits, along with the many, many candles that light the cementeries that day.
...and of couse, you know, all the people who will witness (and frown upon) a dead desecration...
:P

This is for non-American SPN fans to introduce the countries they come from - or simply for everyone to introduce a country they love.
