Job I cannot help you with - looking for one myself.
Boyfriend - will tell you what I told Pascal, which in the end kinda worked for him. Start doing the things you love doing, in a more public/group context. It helps you meet people who share your interests.
Writing - Can totally help there. Can throw prompts at you or point you toward communities that offer prompts for fandoms; the only way to get better at writing is to write, same with drawing, and fandom offers an opportunity for feedback. Gimme an idea of your specific fandoms and we'll dig you up some places to test.

I relate to a lot of what's been said here. (If you catch my drift--- ha.) Not feeling the optimism I hear from you so much just now, but I know I have had access to it, probably will have access to it again, provided I keep kickin' a while longer my own self. Meanwhile, it is what it is.
