Another thing to add. You need to have a story in mind and the world needs to move around the players. I felt like the world in the requiem game was kinda flat. It was also hard to get an OOGA to happen.
IE I liked the VII story line but that fizzled out because the story was not maintained. How can I properly backstab and leave the a player to get nailed by the VII if these monsters are not under every rock scaring the shit out of people.
A friend of mine told me you should have NPC's These NPC's need to have goals and be acting towards those goals. If said NPC is a bad guy and the PC's do nothing about it the NPC keeps moving forward with their plans.
I think this is something I liked about your game.
I would love to hear your own thoughts on the matter. I think the changes the new system made to the rules (Hard rules and everything else just guidelines) went a long way to elimanate so much of the problems we saw when i was on staff. (So jelouse that you guys no longer had to debate rules for HOURS each meeting *wink*)
On the hole a interesing journey and despite some of the strife i think it was worth it :)
I think we never really revcovered from all the drama over the years. I know it really tarnished my enthusiasum for things :/
"look in your heart...you know it to be true!" *wink*
Hehe, maybe. I will be hurting for a vampire larp soon enough :) The problem is I don't like to trave too far for a LARP. Local is good. Long drives home while crashing off a caffie high = bad
