Admin: Tags and use thereof.
Hi there, friendly mod #1 here. This is a post to ask you all to please, please, please use tags when posting to the community. The tags make it easy for people to find characters in specific fandoms that they are interested in reading, rather than having to do a calender search. It is very easy to add the tags to your posts. New members will be assigned a tag when they join the community, usually within a few days of posting to the community. (For some reason, LJ won't let you see the tags assigned you until I actively edit tags on your post. It's LJ. It's ways are not ours.)
Now, if you don't know how to use the tags function, here is a handy dandy guide for your use.
Step one: Post your entry.
Step two: LJ will take you to a screen that has this information on it, like this. See the bottom link that reads 'Edit Tags on Entry'? Click that.
Step three: You've clicked the link, so you should see something resembling this. See that box with all those subjects labeled 'User's Tags'? Scroll down the list until you see your fandom and character, click it. It will then magically appear in the box labeled 'Current Tags.' Click 'Save Changes' and hurrah! You're done!
See? Pretty easy!
