I just want to observe how much I love it that in a doped up emergency, rather than dialing 911, Starsky dials more than twice as many numbers to call Hutch. I just love it.

And the only thing he has to say is "Hutch...help" and Hutch is there in a heartbeat.

He really only had to dial "0"... 911 didn't exist at the time.

"Must. Find. Strength. To. Dial. All. Seven. Numbers."

Love Hutch's groggy/grouchy "hello...?", too.

He does sound grouchy on the second hello, doesn't he? But he doesn't hang up, which I probably would've. Then again, as undercover cops they probably get a lot of odd phone calls.

(Or he instinctively knew it was his beloved partner in jeopardy)

Because who would know better than Hutch what to do? Certainly not the folks who are TRAINED TO RESPOND TO THESE THINGS. *giggle*

It just goes to show that their gut instinct is always to turn each to the other. Mind you that could wind up getting one of them killed ... ;-) But it shore is purty t'watch.
