Why thank you, I really did want Sam to be this alien thing at the start, and then to just be Sam towards the end. Because I think Sam's hard not to love, even when you don't know him at all, even when you're more than a little broken. I think a Dean probably needs a Sam....

Thank you so much! I will admit this fic just fell out from the idea of Dean on the ground after a car crash, I just thought 'what if he got back to the car, found Sam and didn't know him?' Then this whole fic just rambled out.

Yes, I thought that too, it's just sad to think of a world without the both of them in....
