I really, really needed this. The new episode of Downton Abbey just triggered me all the way to sunday, and I was sitting here fighting down a panic attack, and this story just helped me calm down a bit. Thank you thank you!

Gosh I've been trying to comment on this like several times, but my internet hates me.

Loved seeing Derek's pov again and all his insecurities ): Poor bab he's so sure this will all completely fall apart and yet he wants it all so bad.

The glass thing, ow my skin is crawling from reading that. Stiles has a stronger stomach than I do.

Thank you! I always hope the Derek POV parts will work, because he's just this huge ball of issues, and he has to overcome a lot for the relationship to work. But, yeah, i don't think Stiles was enjoying the first aid at all.

I don't know how you manage to write pain and have it be soothing but it really is.

Derek is so desperate to unwind the twisty mess Kate left him in and it's hard to watch him want Stiles so badly and think that that's wrong because it went so horribly the last time he wanted something for himself. When I think about the weight he has to carry around every day...how he doesn't buckle under it is beyond me. You put that on paper so perfectly.

Yes, absolutely, Derek doesn't want to be all twisted up inside. He really does think he's broken and that if he stops hiding it Stiles will be horrified or will leave, something. But he wants it to work, and I think he figures if he tries hard enough then he might be able to keep it for a little longer. Ugh. Derek.

Oh Derek. You are going to be grateful for this until you and Stiles are old and grey together. I mean Stiles held onto a crush for years, I think he's going to hold onto love forever. (And he just picked glass out of your flayed body, if thats not love I don't know what is XP).

Yes, Stiles is more than capable of holding on to things with a crazy sort of determination. He still worries that he does things wrong though, because Derek won't share. they're so difficult, but luckily they're very stubborn.
