This is glorious. This is the greatest non-date I have ever read, and I actually really, really want to see this in canon - like, Derek Hale attempting to pitch woo at a teenager, and having a vague idea as to how, and not taking into account that he is a basket of social fail, and Stiles being all bemused until it hits him hours later. I can imagine their faces SO CLEARLY.

Thank you very much! I'm happy you liked it. Derek is a fabulous basket of social fail and i would kind of love to see this happen too. hough I would probably feel awful for him. I absolutely had to leave Stiles is the dark though. Because it was funny, and I kind of love them failing together.

I love Derek's social awkwardness. He doesn't have any skills which would help him and he's so confused!

I do kind of want to write them going on more awkward dates. Because it's fun!

OMG yes. Like now Derek has taken Stiles out, but Stiles doesn't remember that he asked first so now he feels like he has to take Derek out to be ~even~.

I find the mental image of them keeping him under the stairs both incredibly sad and completely hilarious, thank you!

I feel like Stiles will spend the next week trying to decide if it was actually a date, and then another week trying to compose some sort of casual text message asking if Derek wants to do something. Only to send something confusing, or insulting and then have a panic attack. Their relationship is so hard.
