i'm working at a clothing store. i actually don't mind working at night - so long as i can sleep during the day - and preferably longer than 6 hours.

yeah - she died from complications after childbirth. really sad.

That's the problem with nannys... it's almost impossible for "regular folks" to pay them what they're worth. :(

I'll think good thoughts that you find what you need. While I don't share your particular faith, I do believe that things generally have a way of working out. :)

thank you. :D

i agree. it's really hard to pay a nanny - but when you stop to consider that you're having in-home, one on one daycare, and it's a three month waiting list (minimum) where i live right now - i think it's worth the extra money. of course - i'm the one trying to make the extra money. lol

Oh, that was my point, that it's worth it. I would have loved to have a nanny for my son when I was looking (although actually in the long run I think he has done better in his center than he would have staying at home full time - he's pretty timid as it is). I just didn't have the money. :( As it is, daycare in a center runs me about 50% of my take-home salary. Everything is crazy expensive in the DC area, but I do get annoyed with people who say daycare / nanny care is "too expensive" - I think the people who care for my son are entitled to earn a good living wage, I don't want to just send him to the lowest bidder, you know?

Anyway. Just agreeing with you. I hope you find a great family to work with. :)
