Governor Deval Patrick's daughter Katherine has come out as a lesbian. She first told her parents after her father campaigned to preserve gay marriage in Massachusetts. She says she'd never been more proud of him.

I know! They're so sweet in that interview -- he got all teary when she talked about being proud of him. He even offered to watch "The L-Word" with her -- she declined. *g*

So do I, really. With allowances made for the relative finances of the families. My excuse is that I'm NOT dreaming of any kind of big fat wedding, and never have, so I don't think of those kinds of things. :)
