I love the smell of overt racism in the afternoon.

Of course I don't love it, it royally pisses me off, but it does serve a purpose: it makes the underlying covert racism so fucking obvious. It makes people talk about this shit, which absolutely needs to be named and denounced; and it makes white people who think racism is "over" wake up and say "damn."

I've been amused at how so many people said Obama's candidacy meant America had changed so much about race. Because clearly, not so much.

So far all we've shown is that a majority of Democratic primary voters have changed... which is something... but not the same as a total change. As the interviews in West Virginia showed, there are still plenty of racist Dems, too.

According to the link, the people who made the doll are Romney voters from Utah. I don't want to be guilty of stereotyping myself, but that's far less surprising than them being Kucinich voters from Rhode Island. Equality and mutual respect just haven't caught on in much of this country yet.

Sounds like that's not the guy; still from Utah, but not Park City.

I'd seen the baby momma bullshit; I didn't bother to dignify it with a read. I do love the irony of Macaca Michelle Malkin dealing this kind of shit, she needs to go somewhere and sit her black ass down. The monkey looks like a sock monkey in a suit, I didn't associate it with Obama, but I guess there was something on that points it out.

Both of those things are really just par for the course. I expect no less from some people... and no more. Barack won the nom. NOBODY can take that away. If he wins the election, I'll know that it's possible for this country to be a decent one. In my 52 years it's shown my black ass precious little in that respect.

Oh yeah. The Right loves to send women to smear women, and POC to smear POC. They consider that "cover" for the sexism and racism. So of course Michelle Malkin is one of their favorites.

It does look like a monkey in a suit, but the site is thesockobama.com, and it looks like he has a campaign button. Otherwise it'd just be a monkey in a suit. (I wonder if they already had those, and went, "I know...")

What?!? Malkin is black? Crap, I am more color-blind than I thought I was...

;-)

And all this time I just thought Malkin was dumber than a box of oil soaked tissues and more incendiary too.

Nothing Faux News does really surprises me :(

The "doll" is horrifying. And alas, it's only the beginning :(

Well, there's that. But they keep finding new ways to be despicable!

It is. The more I think about it, the more I'm sure the pro-Obama tone to the site is complete BS.
