Of course I don't love it, it royally pisses me off, but it does serve a purpose: it makes the underlying covert racism so fucking obvious. It makes people talk about this shit, which absolutely needs to be named and denounced; and it makes white people who think racism is "over" wake up and say "damn."

According to the link, the people who made the doll are Romney voters from Utah. I don't want to be guilty of stereotyping myself, but that's far less surprising than them being Kucinich voters from Rhode Island. Equality and mutual respect just haven't caught on in much of this country yet.

Both of those things are really just par for the course. I expect no less from some people... and no more. Barack won the nom. NOBODY can take that away. If he wins the election, I'll know that it's possible for this country to be a decent one. In my 52 years it's shown my black ass precious little in that respect.
