South Carolina Democratic Primary Open Thread

CNN is projecting Obama will win, and win big. There's nothing on the website yet though. ETA: now it's up.

I'm not really surprised; I was expecting Obama to win there. I still think Hillary can win on Super Tuesday though.

Congrats to the Obama fans tonight!

MEH. Isn't there, like, 0% of the vote in? Oh well. I'm pulling for a REALLY CLOSE second, but then, I generally inhabit Denial Island. =\

Still, good for Obama. (I'm trying really hard here.)

I know right? I guess it's all based on exit polling, which we all know is OH SO RELIABLE.

I'm trying too.

ERGH, MEDIA. Polls are my new anti-interest. Not just that, but I was reading the CNN blog (uhm....I was desperate?), and they were literally taking shots at Bill over his "ANGRY" (read : not) comment that journalists these days are a joke (they are). I mean, have a LITTLE professional dignity, people. Bias is not good in your line of work. Dumbasses. =[

Also, gotta love the language the AP is using : "trounces", "runs away with". Erm. Uhm. I'm moving to Canada.

They are practically crowning Obama here.

But I love how they're trying to stir up DRAMA DRAMA over who's gonna get second place.

Hey, it all comes down to what the voters say. And really, I will be happy if Obama gets the nom, even though he's my 2nd choice. I just want the inter-party fighting to stop and the nominee to be decided already.

Yeah I don't see this as a particularly surprising or powerful victory, this nomination will be decided on Super Tuesday and I'm glad of it, may the best candidate win and all that. I do think Hills well earned her margin of loss here though, and the Clinton Machine needs to rethink their approach. Then again they like nothing better than mountains of adversity to overcome.

I love Bill & Hillary more than any other politicians alive, but yeah, they both need to chill with the attacks.

Even though I like Obama, I'm a little peeved by how quickly they projected him to win. It's only 3% reporting and it's not like he's blowing Hillary out by ten thousand votes or anything.

As an Obama supporter and campaign volunteer, thank you for your candor in what is turning out to be a very heated primary.
