I like Edwards.

I've kinda held back on making posts about my Edwards-love here on LR, out of deference to luna_k's Hillary-love. But when I mentioned it, she told me there was no need, and she'd love to see some Edwards-squee too. So here 'tis. [x-posted to my journal]

Thanks! I might.

Of course, the icon of yours I most admire is the unsnaggable Bartlet n00bz one. *g* And you have a Murphy Brown icon!

Amen. I think the MSM finds Edwards threatening, because they're mostly part of ginormous conglomerates. Bah. I also see Edwards as the most electable - too bad most people don't know about the polls saying he'd beat the GOP candidates.

Which is another thing the corporate media don't want to report -- that Edwards's populist stances don't make him unelectable -- to the contrary. Because that's intensely threatening to their cosy system. Hell, they basically ignored Huckabee until they couldn't anymore because he won Iowa, and then seemed all stunned to discover that a non-pundit-anointed candidate could be popular. (Even if Huckabee's populism is not genuine.) That gives me some hope -- a candidate doesn't need to be the darling of the chattering classes IF s/he can get his/her message out.

And the big swing in approval for Edwards from December to January was from undecided how they felt, to approving... the 25% who hadn't heard enough didn't budge. If those people can hear something about him, then who knows what would happen.
