I'm a day late, but whatever. From some comic called Crankshaft:

It seems here is another person with public influence who doesn't have enough knowledge or experience with a topic but feels he can crack jokes anyway and look how fucking stupid he gets. Did he somehow not know that the joke he made was about rape? WTF?

Actually, Batiuk is a good comic writer, IMHO. Certainly, this is exactly the kind of mysognistic drivel Crankshaft would spout, and if you're used to Crankshaft, you'd expect the character to say something stupid like that.

He's dealt with date rape and accidental pregnancy well enough. This might be a glitch, or it might be a comment on the kind of person who would say that sort of thing.

Not to mention, pepper spray can be used in self-defense against other sorts of violent attacks besides rape.

But that character is supposed to be an ass, isn't he? That's what I recall from when I used to read the paper's comics.
