Oh, god. The anti-war activist in me twinges insanely every time I read stuff like that. Ugh.

One thing he mentioned that was funny (in a laugh or you'll break things way) was when someone asked about the response he got from mainstream press. He mentioned there was a play put on in London that was based on his work, about Fallujah, and the New York Times sent a reviewer to it. The reviewer wrote that it was an anti-American play, claiming the U.S. military had used incendiary weapons (i.e., white phosphorus), when that wasn't true. But not only was it true, the military had been forced to admit they'd used them, and probably hit civilians with them.
The New York Times editorial page published an editorial decrying the use of incendiary weapons, but despite the military's 'fessing up, they never wrote a hard news story about it. IOW, the editorial page, which is written off as leftie opinion, wrote about it, but they never reported it as the fact it ( ... )
