I posted about this a couple days ago, but now CNN.com & the AP are talking about it too.
WASHINGTON (AP) - A gay rights group on Monday urged Barack Obama to cut ties with a gospel singer who it says spreads false information about homosexuality being a choice ( Read more... )

TEAM HIL. She's my chick all the way. I love being on her campaign's e-mail list, too. It's all : here's Bill's birthday card to Hil! Here's how much money we have now (mu-ha-ha-ha!!!!)! Here, have a free bumper sticker! FTW, man.

Even as a someone who's not backing Obama, I still feel pretty royally back-stabbed. Like, uhm, WHAT? If nothing else, people better shut their yaps about Hil's Iraq vote now. She voted under highly misleading information and under high pressure from the American public (not that I'm excusing it, but still); he's just pandering to the Christian Right, and there's no excusing that, even if he maintains his gay rights position. Also, yeah, if a white candidate did this, they'd get their ass nailed. Not to try to be a bigot myself, but, yeah. :[

Did you sign Hillary's virtual card? I wrote "I've loved you since I was 13, Hillary!"

And I feel really good for finally donating to her campaign.

Obama... I'm just so disappointed, man. I still have a lot of respect for him, but this severely curtails it.

I think I started out with something like "HI YOU'RE AWESOME MAY I TOUCH YOUR TOES?", but then decided it probably wasn't in my best interests to creep her out, so I settled on "Happy B-Day! Come deliver us from evil!" Or something more desperate. I can't remember.

:(

Well, the way I look at it, Obama's trying to have it both ways. On one hand he says he doesn't support McClurkin's statements, but on the other hand, he's still allowing this guy to perform at his event.

If Obama cancels McClurkin, than I'll be totally happy. But it doesn't look like he's gonna do that.
