When I worked at Home Depot, there was a ton of butch lesbians working there. They KNEW THEIR SHIT, lemme tell you. I trusted them to find shit for me more than anyone else.

The "well-lit" part made me suspect counters or lit mirrors. Though really, they should just bag this whole idea and install natural lighting in the regular HDs, at least in the areas where you're picking out colors.

Tonight I saw a commercial for a girls' toy. It was advertised as letting a child use her imagination and feel her dreams come real.

It's a doll house, and the girl in the ad said, "Let's do laundry," or something similar.

Barf.

I saw that exact same commercial. In the back of my head, I was wondering where the hell the old school feminists were. Shit like this shouldn't be flying today. Laundry isn't something anyone wants to do, but it's got to be done. Otherwise, you wind up stark naked in public.

That said, I've also seen some absolutely repulsive Nintendo DS titles from Ubisoft in what they're calling the "Imagine" series. They've got a freakin' game about raising babies, for crying out loud! Also in there is a makeover game and a fashion game. Even the normally chauvinistic gamer community has scoffed: most of them felt it was too much. Personally, I'm wondering when we see "Imagine: Ham Sandwich".

The idea of shopping at Home Depot was not only to get the tools I needed, but to look at the great looking guys as well! I'd never frequent a Her Depot, yuck!
