*shrug* I can't get too worked up about it.
The Ford family is up to its eyeballs in dirty politics, right down to voting the corpses that come through the family funeral home.

I'm underwhelmed by Corker, and glad I live in the Arkansas part of Memphis.

Well, there's that. FDL mentioned that the progressive Senatorial candidates are doing well, while Ford wasn't.

But I'd take a so-so Dem over a Republican any day. One reason: committee chairmanships.

the thing that always scared me about Ford is that he'd basically be a bull in a china shop, with improvident remarks and constant splits that would make the dems look "divided" and give the GOP even more cannon fodder in '08 to describe dems as on the "fringe." If we can win the Senate without Ford, that's even better than winning with Ford, honestly. ;p He's a loose cannon.

I'm going to be freaking out over the Senate ALL night. Oh well. I go to bed knowing that Texas is STILL royally screwing me over, and will be till the end of time. Fucking Rick Perry.

CNN says Claire McCaskill and Jon Tester are leading their Senate races, but still have both as too close to call.

i know lieberman said he'd side with the democrats, so i'm assuming they are counting him there?

I'm assuming so too... but I don't trust him. He'd been a turncoat too many times in the past, and it sounds like he has a serious grudge over being defeated in the primary.

*sighs for the dream of Senator Lamont*

yeah... one would assume that siding with the party would mean accepting who they picked as their candidate and not throwing a hissy fit and starting your own party.

i was really hoping lamont would win. i pretty much blame the republicans for running a dipshit of a candidate that the party wouldn't even endorse. sigh.

Yeah... that thing where they didn't endorse their own candidate makes me suspicious about what kind of quid pro quo they might have arranged with Lieberman.

Carefully watching the neighboring Missouri senate race while bouncing for joy that dickhead scaryass religious righter Jim Ryun lost his congressional seat to moderate and very nice lady Nancy Boyda in my own state (and damn is it nice to be represented by a Democrat again!)
