The Weekly Standard is the worst of all the conservative rags - even worse than the New York Post, which at least has good celebrity gossip to placate me.
Thank god someone other than the WaPo picked up on Allen's racist remarks. Although, WaPo *did* put the story on the front page - above the flap, even.
Good on them! And they do much better than CNN, reporting on the use of macaca as a slur. They've yet to link the "some European cultures" to Tunisia and to Allen's own background, but they're moving in the right direction. And while I'd love for it to affect his Senate campaign, if it just derails his presidential campaign, I'd take it. (I'd say it'd be great for Dems if he was the R nominee, if the Rs weren't so likely to steal the election again.)
