Well, Good for You, Asshat.

Sen James Inhofe (R-OK) stood on the Senate floor and made this proclamation:
INHOFE: As you see here, and I think this is maybe the most important prop we’ll have during the entire debate, my wife and I have been married 47 years. We have 20 kids and grandkids. I’m really proud to say that in the recorded history of our family, we’ve never had a ( Read more... )

we’ve never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship.
That he knows of, anyway. In families where being gay is as abhorrent as he's making it out to be, it's highly unlikely that a random family member is going to walk in with a partner, boy/girlfriend, fling, or one-night stand and do an announcement. How is any of this relevant, anyway?

..this is maybe the most important prop we’ll have during the entire debate..
If that's all they have to lean on, Inhofe's straight family tree, then they have a problem. That's hardly something that can be used to justify a constitutional amendment.

*snort* I don't suppose it's occured to this asshat that, given his views, his offspring would be somewhat reluctant to admit to him that they were gay?

Personally, I think he's one of those two GAY GAY TOTALLY GAY QUEER folks.

He's just in denial about it.

One in ten? *looks at friends* Man, someone sure got that one screwed up, unless you're talking about straight people. Honestly, I know more gays than I know straights.

That's the old Kinsey summation, anyway. :)

It's more of a in-the-whole-wide-country, or world for that matter, kind of thing. It would have to be, seeing as using it to describe the inhabitants of P-town or Castro St. would be a tad ridic.

I'm just wondering what it says about me that I have an easier time finding the gay people than, you know, finding myself a woman who'd have me.

O-K, then. I've never had an STD. Or failed English. Or gone skinny dipping in the waters surrounding Antarctica. Do I get a gold star too?

yeah, I'm proud that my mother got divorced, I would've much rather grown up with my father, than the alcoholic and abuser she married first.

what is it with these people? are they just genetically stupid or something? ;p
