Via thisisnotover: Hillary's sending postcards of New York's landmarks to Chertoff. (You know, after Homeland Security said New York didn't have any.) The postcard with the Brooklyn Bridge on it reads:

Dear Secretary Chertoff,

Just a quick note from one of New York's many national monuments and icons. Wish you were here!

I've been iffy lately on Hilary (SOB; I used to love her), but this? Awesomeness. Also, CJ? Love.

I don't like Hillary much these days, I admit it. I've got a rant coming on about why she shouldn't be our next nominee. But that's for a different post. *g* She herein proves she has some gumption and a sense of humor, and is using them in a good cause, so I applaud her.

I think she could do a lot more, but this is pretty cute. You can send Chertoff your own postcard, too.

Yeah, but I thought they wanted other NY residents to send the postcards? It makes less sense coming from me in Massachusetts. But other residents of New York State, by all means, join the fun. :)

Oh, I don't know. I don't think it can hurt to let Chertoff know that we from other states care about New York. (Though, I grew up there, so I feel sort of loyal.)
