Damn! I should have married in high school and popped out a dozen liberal kids! *sigh*
I'm pretty sure this woman spawned, too. *shudder*

It's not educational level, ethnicity, region, marital status, or whether her parents read to her as a child.
It's the age at which she has her first child.
Let a girl reach twenty without a brat, and she'll get uppity.

All this law might do is lower Kansas' number of unmarried teen pregnancies. Then they can say, hey, look, our conservative God-fearing policies have decreased the number of unwed teen mothers in the state!

Okay, so teenagers aren't seen as emotionally mature enough to handle having sex (i.e. the "abstinence only" sex "ed" these fucktards promote), but they are mature enough to get married at age 14 and raise children? The fuck?!?!
God, SERIOUSLY. Her logic is not our earth logic.

It's a Pro Chattel bill.
So glad I don't live in that backassward state.
But seriously, as a pediatrician, it's a bill that sanctions statutory rape/sexual abuse of a minor. Minors cannot, though they think they can, consent to sex. Find a pediatrician or child advocate that thinks otherwise, and I'll give anyone here five bucks.
The age of consent for marriage/sex protects impressionable children--male and female alike-- from being sweettalked into things they are emotionally not ready to handle.
So what's next? A bill that condones a teacher screwing his/her student a zillion times.
Disgusting.
