I Missed You, Fellow Ragers!

Jan 11, 2005 21:41

Apparently, a week away in Internets time seems to translate to 2 years in Real Time. I missed out on so much Rage™! Woe. On the plus side, I picked up a couple fabulous books that I really needed to read, such as:

democrats:howard dean, dc, books, coronation

YAY for more Liberal RageTM! Sadly, my father's lost his job and is forced to take another one for half the pay, so I don't have the money for those books. Furthermore, as I live in Fort Bend County, Texas (represented in the US Congress by one Tom Delay--at least I didn't vote for him), so this kind of "subversive" or "terrorist" reading is not stocked in our library. Perhaps when I get back to school, the library there will have these books. At least our campus is well balanced when it comes to politics...so this kind of thing will be in there next to Ann Cunter's stuff.

OMG, are you fucking serious? That's insane. I believe it though. Some of my friends in smaller VA towns face the same shit at their libraries. Free speech, my ass. Still, if you get a chance to grab any of these at your school library, do so. Especially What Liberal Media?, because that's like my Liberal Rage bible. ::clings::

Heh, "Ann Cunter". I hate her SO MUCH OMG.

I'm dead serious. That's the kind of place where I live. There's a reason that I don't live at home much, and it has nothing to do with my parents, who raised me to be a liberal.

The librarians try. They really do...but the Powers That Be don't want us to have access to such knowledge.

And as for Cunter, I just made that up on the spot. However, the way she proclaims herself as the only intelligent person in America...God.

Dean for DNC Chair aexia January 12 2005, 04:17:26 UTC
Trippi endorsed Rosenberg for DNC chair today as well.

It's a neat play to make the race seem like it's down to Dean vs Rosenberg. OTOH, we thought it was neat how the primary race supposedly came down to Dean vs Clark. Hopefully they won't split each other's base of support and allow someone like Roemer to win.
