There are no outgoing links or footnotes to back any of these alleged facts up, but I'm reposting them just to see what everyone else thinks. ( 20 Amazing Facts About Voting in the United States )

I've seen this before. Not only did they steal the election, they didn't care if we knew that they stole it. Extremely galling when you get right down to it.

And someone on another comm had the nerve to chide me for saying I hate Bush...

I would very much like footnotes too, not because I don't believe the assertions, but because I'd like to beat certain people over the head with them and having sources to back me up would make the bat that much heavier.

When I first looked at this post I was all, huh..I don't remember writing this. And then duh...icon. *giggle*

Yeah, I've heard about this, and it drives me batty. Even more so that we can't get the mainstream media to pay any real attention to it. Programmer friends of my brothers told him that Diebold'd programs were so hackable that they had to be designed that way.

And I don't think it's tinfoil hat. I think I read about the statistical analyses on Bradblog? Unfortunately I can't find the exact article where they backed up claim #20, but I did find a link to USCountVotes.org which has some info. At least BlackBoxVoting.org is trying to do something about it...

Here's a source for number 20.

How the swing between exit polls and the "results" only happened in states without paper trails.

More on Diebold's security flaws.

Votergate video.

And perhaps the best news: the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) has a provision where you can file complaints in your state if its requirements for accessible, verifiable voting have, are, or will be broken. Since Diebold machines have no paper trails, and other issues, that means anyone in a state converting to Diebold and ES&S reason to file right now. File a complaint under HAVA.

Hee! Thanks. I found them by entering various search criteria at BradBlog, going, "I know I saw this here..." I still couldn't find the original article extended on the mathematical (im)probabilities of a Bush win, but at least you can name the mathematicians now.
