Speigel Online (in English) brings a German and Europe-wide perspective to the riots in France: What's Wrong With Europe?. (My guess, that you can't get a pizza delivered, but that's based solely on the tribulations of a fictional American in England in Douglas Adams.) I know I shouldn't make light of this, but... but... I can almost hear old granny- and grandpa-type voices...

"Using their blogs to plan riots?"

"Yes, all the young folks are doing that these days."

"Bah! Planning a riot! Planning! Back in my day we just grabbed our torches and our pitchforks and took to the rutted roads toward the town square! Planning? We didn't need to plan our riots!"

It does seem a little counter-intuitive, doesn't it? Like, if you have to plan a riot, is it really a riot anymore. Doesn't it then become... a festival?

Or a spree, or a rampage, or any other word or phrase that doesn't connote spontaneous eruptions of anger.
