Excellent editorial on the FEMA censorship in the Gulf Coast right now from Terry Neal at WaPo:

You know, it's such bullshit that they're not allowing photographs because they're trying to treat the bodies with dignity and respect - why didn't they treat the people who would BECOME the bodies with dignity and respect - by giving them support and help, which they pay for with 1/3 of their salary. They paid taxes, they supported our government - and our government pretty much left them to die.

China evacuated 600,000 people successfuly before a tsunami - what a disgrace our system was.

It's a national disgrace. I can't even begin to imagine what's gonna happen when (not "if") the next major terrorist attack happens. We're all pretty fucked here.

I love Anderson (or the PrettyNewsMan). And this country is soooo very very fucked. It would be nice to live in Europe and be reading about stuff like this in the newspaper instead of having to actually live it out.
