Dynamo are facing a tough stretch
Dynamo's mood today is not as good as it were only two weeks ago. After a weakened squad suffered a 1-3 setback at Vorskla, Dynamo were unable to defeat Ajax Amsterdam (NED) in the home leg of the 4th Champion League Qualification round. Dynamo's season picking up steam
So, we're a month into Dynamo's 2010/2011 season. It started with a disappointing draw against Obolon Kyiv and continued with a pair of unconvincing 2:1 wins against Tavriya Symferopol and Metalist Kharkiv. Dynamo are playing well
Dynamo are continuing very solid play. Gone are the times when faced with a grans of European football Dynamo would go into the deep defence, which still would not prevent their opposition from crashing Dynamo. Dynamo's season is in full throttle. Two huge news had dominated the early going:
- Dynamo have signed up a new coach in the Summer - Valery Gazzaev. Gazzaev had led CSKA Moskva to the 2005 UEFA Cup and is immensely popular in Russia. He changed the schemes Dynamo played to an interesting and more attack minded 4-2-3-1 (at times - 4-1-4-1)

The season is over. Analysis
So, the long 2008/2009 season is finally in the books. Dynamo have won their 13th Ukrainian Premier league title and reached the UEFA Cup semifinals for the first time ever. it is bittersweet that they were knocked out of the competition by their fiercest rivals and eventual UEFA Cup champions, Shakhtar Donetsk. The winding down begins
It's tough... Dynamo had fought hard but suffered two disppointing losses to their biggest rivals, Shakhtar Donetsk. First they were eliminated from the UEFA Cup contention by losing the second leg of the UEFA Cup semifinal, 2-1, with a late goal, which has become so symbolic of Dynamo's season. Tough going for Dynamo
A lot of football had been played in the last two weeks. Dynamo have pretty much cemented their 13th Ukrainian title (and 26th overall). It's been tough going, the mediocre bottom table teams have been fighting Dynamo tooth and nail. Wins are hard to come by. Shakhtar is also finding its form very uncertain. Dynamo march on.
Dynamo Kyiv achieved the best ever advance for a Ukrainian club in the UEFA Cup - they, together with their rivals, Shakhtar Donetsk, reached the demifinals of the last edition of the UEFA Cup (which will be renamed starting next year). Dynamo still marching on
Dynamo continue to achieve satisfactory results this year. They have been able to defeat the 5th-placed Vorskla at home 4-1 and the very fiercely resisting Metalurh Zaporizhzhya 3-1 on the road.
