I actually feel for Coleman. Something tells me he is actually a decent guy. However, he is totally being used by GOP as a sacrificial lamb, because even they know they're not going to win and this whole deal will kill Coleman's credibility.
GOP are just fighting for time to keep the Democrats' 60th vote in Senate away from the Senate as long as possible.
