I've just seen the footage. Is it a policy to film the bridge whenever contact is made with port or other vessels? In the opening shot of the speedboats, they are very far away (the zoom-out shows that) and probably just doing normal patrols. What is the point of showing that, then? To build up viewer tension? In the latter footage (much later, from the look of the sunset) the speedboats weave in and out of the naval vessels' wakes, but there is nothing so terribly sinister about that. They do not approach dangerously closely ( ... )

According to the Iranian side, nothing was out of the ordinary, this happens regularly, and develops into nothing. Just an expected consequence to the two countries' aggressive postures.

Who, in the Western Media, needs to make an elephant out of the mole is a better question
