True it's doubtful, but it's still a possibility. Stupidity seems to be a trait common among humanity, especially amongst politicians.

You're doing well. Tread carefully. Everyone knows you're not a liberal: you've got "internet issues", particularly related to misogyny (who knows if it is due to your divorce) and are liberal only in your desire for free speech, so that you can wank.

However, you're sharp as a tack. And you have a better sense about economics and constitutional law than most liberals. But you don't understand the Enlightenment, the Civil Rights movement, continental theory, the "New Left" -- events outside of your own experience as an immigrant consuming American pop culture politics on a superficial level.

Your challenge is to keep liberal dialog funneling here, rather than liberal_free, without turning it into a community of you and community_poll talking to yourself, with some bored yammerers on the side.

lawyers

Another example of how you draw your opinions by suckling at melvin's teet. Why is it you can't think independently? Michael Dinkins, always needing someone stronger to create opinions for him.

Why should it matter, as long as he is trying to do something, he may be bought off, he may be evil in other ways.
All humans are flawed and a lot of them give in to power.

At least he might try to do something to keep us free. If he doesn't hold up then let the people of Illinois decide.

More rights = More freedom (Small spoonfuls at a time) = More freedom (overall).

Right?
