My life is currently all about getting ready for the pub's first art fair next weekend - the Mad March Fair. If you aren't planning to come and could make it down, please consider it! Sussex is only an hour and a bit from London or Brighton on the train, and we'll have lovely foods, real ales and live folk music as well as arts and crafts by ( Read more... )

They're great. I especially love Bonfire.

Re not activly watching tv: I used to really enjoy Charmed when I had it on when working at home. Then I put it on when I wasn't working and sat down to watch it. Huge disappointment.

I love Bonfire too. I was practically having colour orgasms while I was painting it. I love the purples in the blue curls at the top the most.

I do actually love most of the shows I'm using to fuel my art-tiems, but if I sit down and watch them without doing anything with my hands at the same time, I always end up feeling so restless and discombobulated and irritable about the wasted time. This is far better!

There are shows I'm avoiding painting in front of though, because I want to pay attention properly - like the new David Simon series, Treme.

i love Camber. i also love Cameron. but her hair and makeup situation gets steadily worse as your progress. but then 13 comes along and makes everything ok.

I'm still only in like Season 3, so I have a looong way to go. I can't bear to look at her though. Her upper arms! She embodies everything I hate about how female characters are cast in television.

I'm loving the puffins :)

I hope this is a success, as I'd love to come along to a future incarnation of one of these!

I didn't even realise they WERE puffins until after I'd finished.

I hope the pub stays alive long enough for me to host many more of these, I have plans up the wazoo :)

Love them; particularly the beach - it doesn't look like a quick thing!!

Meanwhile, am thinking of coming down, and maybe bringing stuff. Do you have any rooms free I/Oli and I could rent? Considering coming on Friday night; not sure how long to stay.

Or are you fully booked up?

The beach does seem to be proving popular! Will quite happily keep on churning those out if they sell :)

Would be AWESOME to see you and would love to have you on board. Rooms are all full Saturday night but we could do you a guest room Friday night and then a mattress in our lounge Sat night?

I think I've managed to persuade Oli to come down with me. Can we stay tonight? We'll not get there till late! Do I need to book the room formally somehow?

I love the one on the right in the very first photo, with the newspaper in the background, and I'm very impressed with Camber Sands.

Oh, you liked Wassail II more before it got smoothed over and had the spiral added? Interesting!

Thanks so much for sending your art over, I really wanted to have some little paintings across the black beam in the middle of the room and didn't want to split my work up - so it was awesome to have yours adding some colour and interest. And congrats on your sale! :)
