Well, hello stupidity. It's been a while!

So, khfanficrants. That pretty much says everything that needs to be said, doesn't it?

There was a poster; as an aside to a rant about things she dislikes in fanfic, she mentioned, like it was part of her personal bio, that she dislikes yaoi. (God, I feel silly using that word; I haven't called it yaoi in a year or so now. It's slash~.) Fine, okay, whatever. ( Read more... )

blah blah blah, open letter, fandom = sigh, bitter libek is bitter

I just can't get over that comment about how anti-yaoi fans are tolerant of ANYTHING.

I. I just. omg.

It slayed me. Every time I look at it, I fall out of my chair LAUGHING. Oh, honey, do you ever look at your own contingent? The ones that turned me off a bunch of popular het pairings because you're that batshit crazy?

M'gawd. XD

I KNOW, wtf. XD

And RIGHT AFTER that, man.

Even though, well, they're both really stupid pairings, she could've just drawn something with Axel/Larxene and Roxas/Namine. And it would've been SO much more positive. D: There's definitely something to be said for looking at the bright side, man.

I couldn't even see the comic in question! Lawl mature filter. XD One day, I'll get a dA account, but I just don't care enough.

I can see Axel/Larxene, but not as a pairing so much as just random sex. Kinda the same way I view Marluxia/Axel, but without the evil power games and more open snarking.

The thing with the anti-yaoi people is how pointless it all is, and my god, I get enough homophobia in real life and everywhere else on the internet. Shut up and leave my fandom alone, and don't use some of my pairings to further your whining.

Here you go. HILARIOUS, isn't it.

I used to be fine with Axel/Larxene actually, but it keeps being associated with these horrible, horrible people. I have this nervous tic now. (My Larxene still flirts with Axel, and sometimes he sort of flirts back, but it's all very snarky, yes.)

But yes, I know. Re: rant! XD

Thaaank you for your rage, yes. (I've friended you, btw. Like-minded people on my flist make me happy!)

For a long time I used to define myself as "anti-yaoi", back when I was twelve or thirteen, until I figured out that "yaoi" didn't mean "every pairing I dislike, too". I could like yaoi and dislike, say, Duo/Heero. AND THUS THE SUN SHONE BRIGHTLY DOWN UPON ME AGAIN.

Ohh god Duo/Heero. XDD (It's slightly better than Heero/Duo, though. LAWL Duo is girly because he has long hair! :O)

The Gundam Wing fandom is what grownup fandoms tell baby fandoms about to make them eat their vegetables. "If you don't eat all the food on your plate, you'll turn into GW someday!" Filled with people who have never seen/watched/read the subject matter but TEE HEE know all about the characters from other fanfic they've read! :D

Hey! Just for the record some of us get into the canon through other people's work. If it wasn't for lj and other such communities I wouldn't even have known about things like Kingdom Hearts and BLEACH; they're my only way of knowing what's new, unusual and highly addictive.

Although I admit I do have some idea of what you're talking about. It's one thing to have one's first exposure through fandom. It's another to have one's only exposure through fandom and then try to pass yourself off as an expert.
